We are not sure if homesteading is the right term to describe what we want to accomplish. There are a variety of goals and desires we want to explore based upon these concerns:
What is God’s plan for us and this land?
How can we be more active in knowing where our food comes from and what it consists of?
How can we teach our children the quality of a hard day’s work?
How can we teach our children to appreciate nature and be good stewards of it?
How can we be more self-sufficient in our everyday needs?
How can we have fun as a family with a hobby that involves all of us?
How can we all learn vital skills that are being lost at each passing generation?
How can we simplify things that have become just too complicated?
Answering these questions and many others, have put us on the path of homesteading, farming, or whatever other term you may apply. Our foray into this adventure will include gardening, raising and processing of livestock, and land and resources stewardship.
